How to download and install new games

If your console was set up by us, it has a free tinfoil shop set up. Shops go down occasionally, but the retrorom shop has stayed up pretty consistently. Long term expect the shop to go down at some point. If that happens you will have to search for a new one. Shop information is usually available here . I have an alternate option using DBI available here.

1. Load up EMUMMC CFW (Orange)

2. Make sure you are connected to wi-fi and sleep mode is disabled in settings, and then launch the Tinfoil App

3. Press Okay to any welcome messages

4. Navigate to "New Games" and click (+) on your controller

5. Search for a game you want (you can also download roms for retro consoles here if you'd like)

6. Press A on the base game file

7. Select Include All DLC and Include Latest Update if desired and click install

Wait for the game to finish. You can queue up multiple titles. If your switch loses connection to the server the download may fail and as a result the game will give you an error when launching. If this happens, delete the game from the home screen and redownload. 

Troubleshooting Tinfoil

If you get a clock error:

Click the photo gallery on the Switch home screen (still in CFW EmuMMC)

Open DBI

Go to "tools"

Click NTP time sync

Then open tinfoil again
