Everything was done as advertised. Tracking and updates were very easy to follow. The owner has a wealth of knowledge thats easy to access.very happy with the result amd will recommend.
I was able to buy a new unit, have it shipped directly and my rush processing purchase was totally worth it since my unit was modded right away.
Software was present, everything I needed was already there and set up. I was able to pull my MHGU saves, back them up and make some edits out of the box.
I do think it would be useful to include a quick start up guide to explain the software briefly. That way you know what was provided, what it does and how to access it. I had to recall you needed to access the Albums menu to see the CFW apps like JKSV.
That said, great experience and glad the service exists since I don't trust myself quite yet to do a hardware mod on a Switch. Gameboys are cheaper and easier to work on, so I left it to someone with more experience for the Switch chip install. Glad I did since everything is in working order and I didn't destroy a unit by mistake.
So Cal Modding did an awesome job. The finished product was exactly what I wanted, and everything works perfectly. No issues at all. Super happy with the result and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for high-quality modding.

I was kinda sketched out before because I've never done anything like this before but with the rush processing they got my switch done extremely fast and when they shipped the switch it even got here 2 days early! They are pretty awesome and i would 10/10 recommend that you buy from them if you are scared about shipping your switch also if you have any questions don't be afraid to ask the they communicated throughout the process and answered any questions that i had, everything went very smoothly. lol this is the same as the store review because i didn't know how to do a product review at first.
I was skeptical at first, only because I never usually purchase services from a person online just from a review on Reddit. Especially if I have to send my personal belongings to said person for the service. But man I’m so glad I did. The switch modification has been working great and definitely worth the money. I haven’t had any problems and when I did have a question, it was replied to quickly. I usually never do reviews either but for anyone else who has doubts, DO IT.
